The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday confirmed that some six players including Mohammad Hafeez and Fakhar Zaman have tested negative for Covid-19 for the second time in three days.
The players include Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Wahab Riaz, as such, these players are now eligible to join the Pakistan men’s national cricket team in Worcestershire.
The players were retested on Monday, 29 June, following a first negative test on 26 June.
The PCB said that it will now start making their travel arrangements and the departure details will be shared in due course.
Coronavirus pandemic beacem a headache for Pakistan cricket, after the country’s cricketing board last week confirmed that a further seven players and a player support personnel from a total of 35 have tested positive for Covid-19.
Players who have tested positive are; Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz.
Meanwhile, players who have tested negative are; Abid Ali, Asad Shafiq, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fawad Alam, Iftikhar Ahmad, Imam-ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Sohail Khan, and Yasir Shah.
