This purportedly real video clip shows, among other things, that the first prime minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan, had never lost his popularity among the masses in order to effectively reject the claims of his detractors about how he was then being viewed by the people of this country.
His assassination had certainly turned the then capital of Pakistan, Karachi, at least, into a city of mourning. However, it is still a matter of debate whether or not he had been facing growing opposition from among his peers after the death of his LEADER and benefactor Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Liaquat Ali Khan was among the founding fathers of this country but his fiftieth death anniversary on 16th October 2001 is said to have passed without any official commemoration.
When Said Akbar’s bullets hit Liaquat at the then Company Bagh in Rawalpindi, he prayed with his dying breath ‘God protect Pakistan’. His assassination, however, still remains a mystery._Editors
