The flour crisis has once again arisen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the price of a 20kg bag of flour rising by Rs300 and an 85kg sack by Rs900.
As per details, a 20kg bag of flour is being sold at Rs1,100 from the previous rate of Rs800 in the province, and an 85kg sack of flour is being sold at Rs5,000 from earlier rates of Rs4,100.
According to flour dealers, mill owners in Punjab are not supplying flour to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as per quota. On the other hand, illegal check posts have been set up at places of supply where extortion is levied.
Meanwhile, the vendors say that if this situation continues, the price of flour may go up further in the next few days.
